Another worth to mention Kickstarter project just went live.

If you have heard of Munchkin or read my review about it, the Kickstarter Munchkin Shakespeare may be the right game for you.

In the words of the creators, Shakespeare dramatic appeal for betrayal fits perfectly the world of monster slaying, punnery, and backstabbing and I couldn’t agree more with it.

Munchkin was always a good game for a group of friends, and the Shakespeare version of it stays true to its formula.

If you haven’t heard of Munchkin before, I advise reading my article on the original Munchkin here.

It is not a quick game, but I guarantee that it is fun, full of twists, and plenty of discussions to get people help you.

Munchkin was always one of my favorites games, and I have plenty of expansions.

Most of Munchkin versions and expansions mix together, and Shakespeare is not different.

As it uses the same races and classes, you can mix it and add more cards to your current game.

Mixing the versions also gives a new dimension of gameplay as when new cards are introduced, no one knows what to expect anymore.

The rules are as simple as the original game:

Munchkin How To 1 Munchkin How To 2
Munchkin How To 3 Munchkin How To 4
It is all about fun, isn’t it?

Munchkin Shakespeare is running on Kickstarter for a few days, and it already reached its goal of $30,000.

It is actually almost at four times its original value.

What does that mean? If you back the project, it is guaranteed that it will be delivered.

Plenty of stretch goals has already being matched, including 30 cards, 14 dungeons, 2 blank doors, and 2 blank treasures.

The blank doors and treasures are cards where you can draw your own illustration and add your custom action for that specific card.

With the speed of people backing this project, more and more stretch goals will be available.

  1. Marcelo – I have honestly never heard of Munchkin but I will check it out. We are always looking for new games to play as a family, this looks like it has potential. It’s great to see a new game get support from Kickstarter and with it starting at $20.00 I would say that’s a bargain.

For a game that can provide as quality time as Munchkin does, it’s more than a bargain 🙂
